Samurai Rebellion (1967) is a Japanese jidaigeki drama directed by Masaki Kobayashi and starring Toshiro Mifune, Yoko Tsukasa and Tatsuya Nakadai. Set in 18th-century Japan, the film follows Isaburo Sasahara, a loyal vassal whose son is ordered to marry the clan lord's discarded mistress. When the lord demands her return, Isaburo defies the order, leading to a tragic confrontation that challenges the strict codes of samurai honor and authority.
